Lifecourse SES analysis data files are created using information from a number of sources. You can review information about Neighborhood analysis files construction in the MOP in ‘Forms and Manual’ and in lcdsc26a & lcdsc38a
lcdsc08a – Individual SES Lifecourse Data Set .
Visit 1 thru Visit 4 Individual SES Lifecourse Data Set . Includes visit 1 thru visit 4 variables and SES AFU variables. There are 15,792 observations in this data set; however, only 12,716 participants in the lifecourse study have data from the SES AFU form. Creation date: 04/07/2005.
lcdsc26a – Neighborhood SES Information for tracts lived in during ARIC Visits 1 thru 4.
Visit 1 thru Visit 4 Neighborhood SES Information. SES variables from the 1990 and 2000 census for the tract lived in during each of the 4 visits. There are 15, 491 observations. Creation date: 10/2003.
lcdsc38a – Neighborhood SES information for the tracts lived in at ages 30 through 70.
Combined historic and current neighborhood SES information. This data set combines SES information from visits 1-4 and SES information for ages 30, 40 and 50 from the SES AFU. This combination provides information for ages 30, 40, 50, 60 and 70. There are 15, 491 observations. Creation date: 11/2003.
